Hour one is new house and techno. Hour two is a tribute to Shem McCauley, best known as the producer Slacker, which started as a duo with Simon Rogers, and later became Shem alone. Shem died in January 2012. I did not find this out until recently. He was a popular producer and one of my favourites from the late 1990s and early 2000s, so it was no problem to set aside a full hour for some of his great tunes. His 2002 guest mix for John Digweed's Kiss FM show is one of my favourite mixes ever.
